League of Legends Development Update

Last season was a big step for Evil Geniuses and our mission of supporting North American development in the League of Legends ecosystem. Not only did we launch our Evil Geniuses Prodigies program in December of 2020 to accompany our Academy roster, we also saw great competitive results on the Rift from all of our developmental talent:

  • Kyle “Danny” Sakamaki promoted from EG Prodigies to LCS, to go on and win the LCS 2021 Rookie of the Year
  • Juan Arturo “Contractz” Garcia promoted from EG Academy to LCS rotation in Summer Split
  • Promotion of Tomio “Tomio” Chan from Prodigies to EG Academy in Summer Split
  • Both Academy and Prodigies placing top 6 in Spring Proving Grounds
  • Joseph “jojopyun” Pyun promoted from Academy to EG LCS in 2021/2022 Offseason

For this Academy season, we are delighted to welcome in new faces to join some familiar EG names from last year. Introducing the 2022 Evil Geniuses Academy League of Legends Roster:
