CS:GO – BLAST Fall Groups

Today we want to provide clarity to our fans regarding the upcoming schedule and a sneak peak into the future roadmap for our Counter-Strike plans.

On September 16th, the team will kick off BLAST Fall Groups taking on Astralis in the first match of Group A. For this event, the EG roster will not include Peter “Stanislaw” Jarguz or Vincent “Brehze” Cayonte as both team members have requested time away to focus on their respective mental health. It’s our ambition at EG to compete in and lift trophies at the biggest events in esports; however, no competitive results come before the well-being of our players. We ask our fans to join us in supporting our players in this period.

The roster for BLAST Fall Groups will be:

Tsvetlin “CeRq” Dimitrov
Owen “oBo” Schlatter
Michał “MICHU” Müller
Damian “daps” Steele
Teodor “SPELLAN” Nikolov (Stand-in)

We appreciate Teodor stepping into the lineup on such short notice as a temporary stand-in for this event, and are thankful for BLAST’s cooperation in working through the changes.

We are grateful to work with partners like ESL and BLAST, specifically for their understanding of player well-being. We will continue to explore ways in which we can collaborate to best support our team and overcome the challenges of competing in the current landscape of CS:GO in a travel restricted ecosystem.

Following BLAST Fall Groups, the team will return to North America where fans can expect to see our full lineup compete in IEM Fall North America before heading back to International play:

Tsvetlin “CeRq” Dimitrov
Owen “oBo” Schlatter
Michał “MICHU” Müller
Peter “Stanislaw” Jarguz
Vincent “Brehze” Cayonte
Damian “daps” Steele (Coach)

We feel that allowing our lineup the time needed to come mentally and physically prepared for IEM Fall, not only best supports our players, but also puts our team in the best position to qualify and succeed at the much awaited Major.
